Our first hour features bluegrass recording artist, Amanda Cook. Amanda’s first album, her self-released One Stop Along the Road, made it solidly onto the national Bluegrass charts, a major feat for any independent artist. She has since signed with Mountain Fever Records and is releasing her second album, Deep Water, this week.
Jim Vest
Jim Vest is a musician, producer, actor, songwriter, publisher, singer, and leader of the world-famous Nashville Cats. Jim’s talent on the steel guitar has made him one of the top A-team recording musicians in the world. He is the recipient of the Super Picker Award, for musicians who have played on million selling records. He’s recorded with a “who’s-who” of country music, including the likes of Waylon Jennings, Wille Nelson, The Statler Brothers, George Jones and many, many more. But wait! There’s more. As a songwriter, his songs have been recorded by artists like Charles Louvin, Johnny Paycheck Verne Gosdin and George Jones. Add to this a long list of Movie and TV credits from Hee Haw to The Grand Old Opry Live, and you’ve got one heck of a career!
