We have to honor to visit with Wanda Jackson, a singer, songwriter and musician who was one of the first popular female rockabilly singers and a pioneering rock-and-roll artist. She is known as the Queen of Rockabilly or the First Lady of Rockabilly. After rockabilly became less popular with audiences, she move into a mainstream country music and went on to have a string of hits. Her rockabilly career had a resurgence a few years ago when the genre become popular again with Americana audiences. Wanda is a member of the Rockabilly Hall of Fame and the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame.
