Our guest is hit songwriter and artist Jamie Floyd, who is like so many songwriters in Music City, holding down a day gig while pursuing her musical dreams. Those dreams got a turbo-boost recently when artist Ashley Monroe recorded her song The Blade, making it the title cut on her album Ð which was Grammy- nominated Best Country Album. Jamie’s songs have been featured in TV shows and movies, like Lifetime’s Manson’s Lost Girls and ABC’s Nashville. She’s got a brand new album out called Sunshine and Rainbows and was featured in a recent documentary called The Last Songwriter, along with other heavy-hitters like Garth Brooks, Alan Shamblin, Jim Lauderdale, Tom Douglas, Tony Arata and others.
