Guests Colin Linden and Jeannie Seely
This week we welcome guests Colin Linden and Jeannie Seely!
First up is Blues Grammy-nominated songwriter/recording artist/producer, Colin Linden. Colin’s work as a musician is prolific, having appeared on over 400 albums to date for artists such as Emmylou Harris, Robert Plant and Allison Krauss. As a producer, he’s credited on over 100 albums and as a songwriter, his songs have been recorded by artists including Keb ‘Mo, The Band and The Blind Boys of Alabama. His own trio, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, has been wowing audiences for over a decade.
In the second half of the show we’ll be joined by Grammy Award winner and Grand Old Opry member Jeannie Seely. 2017 marks Seely’s 50th year as an Opry member. Her career as a recording artist and hit songwriter is legendary in Music City, with her songs having been recorded by legends like Faron Young, Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Willie Nelson, Ernest Tubb and Little Jimmy Dickens, as well as many others. Jeannie has brand new album out called Written in Song, which features her versions of 14 songs she wrote that were hits for other artists, including those mentioned above.
